CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)
Everest Summit Treks and Expedition is completely aware and willing to serve the community in any responsible way possible. Our motto of ethical values in social concern is always a priority. Certain parts of the company’s profit go to the rural development, health sector, and women empowerment in different regions of Nepal. we know Life is not only about receiving and giving in any way possible to underprivileged communities and educating them is a big part of giving. Conducting different awareness programs for women regarding, focalizing health in rural areas, and educating the child is the major part we work on.
At Everest Summit Treks and Expedition, our work goes far beyond guiding treks and leading tours. We strongly believe that tourism should not only benefit travelers but also uplift the communities and environments where it takes place. Our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is deeply rooted in our values of compassion, sustainability, equity, and ethical travel. We recognize our role not only as adventure operators but as active partners in the development and protection of Nepal’s people, culture, and nature.
Empowering Local Communities
We believe in empowering the very people who make Himalayan adventures possible, our guides, porters, home-stay hosts, artisans, and villagers. Everest Summit Treks and Expedition is proud to provide fair employment opportunities to individuals from remote mountain regions who often lack access to steady income. We ensure fair wages, insurance coverage, proper gear, training, and career growth opportunities to all our team members. We also prioritize working with locally-owned tea houses, transport providers, and suppliers, so the money spent by our clients directly supports local economies.
Beyond employment, we contribute to education and health initiatives in mountain communities. Through partnerships and local outreach, we support rural schools with educational supplies, scholarships for underprivileged children, and basic infrastructure like clean drinking water systems and sanitation facilities. We also coordinate occasional free health check-up camps and awareness programs in remote villages that are often overlooked.
Promoting Sustainable and Responsible Tourism
Environmental preservation is at the heart of our operations. We understand that the Himalayas are not only majestic but also fragile ecosystems that demand respect and protection. As part of our CSR, we are dedicated to minimizing our environmental impact by following Leave No Trace principles, conducting clean-up treks, using reusable and eco-friendly gear, and educating our clients about responsible trekking practices.
We actively discourage the use of single-use plastics on our treks and encourage trekkers to carry their own water bottles, purification tablets, and reusable bags. In addition, we are exploring ways to offset carbon emissions through local reforestation and tree planting programs in the future.
Cultural Preservation and Respect
Nepal’s rich cultural heritage, its languages, festivals, traditions, and indigenous wisdom, is an inseparable part of the trekking experience. We take great pride in promoting cultural sensitivity and education for all our guests. Before and during treks, we brief our clients on local customs, proper behavior, dress codes, and respectful interactions. Our guides are trained not only in trail knowledge but also in the history, religion, and traditions of the regions we travel through.
We also support community-based tourism projects that preserve traditional lifestyles and offer authentic cultural exchange. By promoting village homestays, local crafts, and heritage experiences, we help safeguard traditions while offering travelers a deeper and more rewarding connection to the places they visit.
