We will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport for a 40-minute flight to Lukla on the third day following a day of preparation and an official briefing.
You will fly from Kathmandu to Lukla and then hike to Phakding. The journey will be brief but unforgettable since you will see the majestic mountains that have captivated climbers, trekkers, and explorers worldwide.
You will go to Namche Bazaar, the largest town in the Khumbu region, from Phakding. You will depart Tengboche/Deboche for Dingboche the next morning. Beautiful views of the Ama Dablam may be seen from the trails. Dingboche is distinct from other nearby communities due to its farmlands surrounded by stone walls. You will be getting used to Dingboche for another day.
We will take you to Thukla from Dingboche. We will spend the night in Thukla and then continue on to Lobuche High Camp the following day, following the traditional Everest Base Camp journey from Thukla to Lobuche. Our climbing Sherpa guide will teach you how to use climbing gear and equipment at the Lobuche High Camp.
You will accompany our climbing leader to the summit of Lobuche Peak early on the eleventh day. A panoramic view of numerous mountains, including Everest (8,848m), Lhotse (8,516m), Nuptse (7,861m), Pumori (7,161m), Ama Dablam (6,812m), and Cholatse (6,440m), can be seen from the summit.Without a doubt, climbing Lobuche will enhance your climbing skills and get you ready to tackle additional peaks in the future. Once you reach the summit of Lobuche, you will go to Namche.
In the event that you are unable to ascend Lobuche on the scheduled day, we have allowed an extra day. Following your ascent of Lobuche, you will return to Thukla for the night. Fixed Departures for 15 Days Lobuche Peak Climbing
Detail information about the trip
Free airport transportation
Our corporate representative will be holding a leaflet with your name on it when you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Following their greeting, they will drive you to your hotel in a private vehicle and give you a garland as a welcome gift. We offer this service because we do not want you to have trouble navigating a strange nation.
Accessing the climbing area of Lobuche Peak
If you have not finished the online trip briefing, you will attend an in-person hike briefing once you get to Kathmandu. Important details regarding the hike will be covered at the briefing, and your luggage will be inspected again to make sure you have brought all the necessary supplies. We will drive you to Tribhuvan International Airport on the day of the trip’s departure so you may get a flight to Lukla, which is where Lobuche Peak is located. About forty minutes will pass throughout the flight. When you land at Lukla, you will be surrounded by towering peaks and in a whole new and different landscape.
Accommodations While Climbing Lobuche Peak
The hike region, which includes Phakding, Namche Bazaar (3N), Tengboche, Dingboche (2N), Thukla (3N), Lobuche High Camp, and Lukla, is where you will spend 12 nights. The majority of lodgings have attached bathrooms, and all rooms are twin-sharing.
This Lobuche Peak package does not include the minimum three nights of hotel accommodations that you will require in Kathmandu, two of which must be spent prior to the trek and one following it. There are many hotels in Kathmandu that can accommodate a variety of spending limits and tastes, and we want you to be free to select where you wish to stay.
The Meals While Climbing Lobuche East Peak
We are aware that getting to Lobuche East and climbing it are physically taxing, so eating right is crucial. We will provide you lots of wholesome, clean, and delicious meals during the journey. The best food in the trekking area is served at tea houses and hotels that we personally choose.
Food options get more expensive and scarcer as altitude increases. Western, Asian, and local cuisine are usually offered on the menus. We advise consuming a lot of liquids, like green tea, lemon tea, ginger tea, hot lemon, and most importantly, garlic soup, to stay hydrated and well-acclimated. Because the quality of meat items varies at higher elevations, we also recommend consuming fresh vegetables instead.
We will feed you thirteen breakfasts, twelve lunches, and twelve dinners along the journey.
Favorite Food Selections:
Breakfast includes Tibetan bread or chapati, local tsampa porridge, eggs, pancakes, muesli, breads, fruits, oats, corn flakes, French toast with jam, butter, cheese, and honey, as well as vegetables and hot beverages (teas, coffees, and hot chocolate).
Lunch includes a variety of soups, Sherpa stew, steaks, sandwiches, momo (dumplings), potatoes, vegetable salad, pizza (tomato, mushroom, mixed), snacks (papad, prawn), macaroni dishes, tenduk, spaghetti, noodles, thukpa, pasta, vegetable curry, Tibetan bread, and desserts like rice pudding and apple pie.
Dal Bhat, soups, Sherpa stew, steaks, sandwiches, momo, potato dishes, Tibetan bread, pasta, noodles, thukpa, tenduk, vegetable curries, mixed salads, pizzas, Korean ramen, munchies, and dessert options are served for dinner, same like for lunch.
Note: Particularly at higher elevations, we advise staying away from dairy items, alcohol, caffeinated beverages, and hot chocolates.
The ideal time to climb Lobuche East
The Ideal Season to Scale Lobuche East Peak
The weather has a big influence on when Lobuche East Peak is best to climb. Because of the constantly shifting climate at high elevations, weather forecasts for the Everest region are not always accurate.
While trekking in the Everest region is possible all year round, the trip is more comfortable and pleasurable during specific months when there are clear sky and stable weather. For Lobuche East climbing, spring (March–May) and fall (September–November) are generally regarded as the ideal seasons.
From sunrise to sunset, these seasons provide perfect temperatures, little precipitation, and pristine mountain views. The seasonal conditions are broken out as follows:
January through February
This is the coldest season, and January in particular sees a lot of snowfall. Because of the severe weather in January, we do not run climbs. But for seasoned climbers who can withstand the cold, late February offers a window of opportunity due to brighter sky and somewhat milder days.
Between 15°C and -15°C
March through April
Among the greatest times to go climbing. As the snow starts to melt, the days get warmer and the natural world comes to life. Anticipate stunning vistas of glaciers, snow-capped mountains, and blossoming vegetation. Climbers love this season because of the great visibility.
Between 18°C and -12°C
May through June
Up to the beginning of the monsoon season in mid-June, the weather is still suitable for climbing. This is a very lovely time of year to trek because of the combination of early summer warmth and spring freshness.
Temperature: 25°C to -5°C
July through August
The monsoon season has begun. Flights to and from Lukla are regularly canceled or delayed, and the trails are muddy, rainy, and slick. For safety reasons, we do not run climbs in July or August.
Temperature: 27°C and 5°C
From September to October
For climbing Lobuche East, this is the busiest time of year. Clear skies and clean air return as the monsoon season comes to an end. There is little to no rain, and the days are mild and the evenings are cold. In Nepal, these months are also joyous, with significant holidays like Dashain, Tihar, and Chhath.
Temperature: 20°C and 5°C
November through December
With cold, clear days, November provides yet another fantastic climbing opportunity. But by December, snow starts to build, making things more difficult. Due to the arrival of winter, we do not conduct climbs in December.
Temperature:18°C and -10°C
Getting Used to Climbing Lobuche Peak
Health Safety and Acclimatization
To assist you in acclimating to the high elevations, our Lobuche Peak climbing program includes specific acclimatization days. The danger of altitude sickness, which is prevalent at high elevations, can be reduced with proper acclimatization. The majority of hikers only have minor symptoms, but severe altitude sickness can be fatal and needs to be treated right away.
It is highly advised that you purchase complete insurance for your ascent of Lobuche Peak. Any medical emergencies, including the price of an emergency evacuation, will be covered by this insurance.
Namche Bazaar and Dingboche are the two main acclimatization stops on the journey.
The Namche Bazaar
The lively Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar is an ideal location for acclimatization. It provides a range of facilities, such as Wi-Fi cafes, eateries, pubs, bakeries, and stores where you may purchase hiking supplies or trinkets. Feel free to stroll around the town or go on a quick hike to neighboring Sherpa settlements like Khunde and Khumjung on your day of acclimatization.
Dingboche
Dingboche, a charming settlement with breathtaking views of Makalu, Ama Dablam, Cho Oyu, Island Peak, and Lhotse, is the second acclimatization stop. One of the tallest internet cafes in the world is located in Dingboche. Take in the stunning views while allowing your body to acclimate to the higher altitude.
Our knowledgeable trekking guides are skilled in managing altitude sickness and have received first aid training. Our first concern is your safety and well-being. If you have severe altitude sickness, you must descend right away. We will set up a helicopter rescue if necessary, and your insurance will pay for it.
To guarantee the team’s safety, your trek leader will evaluate the situation and decide whether to descend right away or continue the walk if any members of your group feel ill or injured.
Travel-Grade Health and Medical
Mount Lobuche Climbing
Climbing Lobuche East Peak is a strenuous but worthwhile adventure. Depending on your destination, you will hike for five to seven hours per day with frequent pauses to take in the scenery. Your degree of fitness will have a direct impact on how much you enjoy the experience, just like it does for any trip or mountain climb. Although it is beneficial, prior trekking or climbing experience is not necessary. However, we advise speaking with your doctor before making a reservation if you have blood, lung, or heart issues.
Individual Climbs
We exclusively plan private climbs and excursions; we do not include other hikers in your party. You can get a bigger discount if your group is larger. We can accommodate groups of any size, and for extra assistance, we provide an assistant guide for groups greater than eleven trekkers or climbers.
Water and Electricity While Trekking
Electricity is available at every lodge along the route to Lobuche Peak, so you can charge your phones and cameras. Please be aware that there can be a minor price associated with this service.
Although local hotels and on-route stores sell bottled mineral water, we advise bringing a reusable water bottle. It can be filled with boiled water from lodges or tea cafes. If you would like, we can also give you water purifying pills. Since it might not be safe, we highly advise against drinking water straight from nearby rivers, taps, or wells.
An Ordinary Day
From breathtaking scenery and photo ops to discovering new locations and sampling regional cuisine, every day offers fresh, thrilling experiences. Porters, a climbing Sherpa, and your trekking guide will travel with you to make sure your trip is comfortable and joyful.
After an early breakfast, your day will start with a walk that starts at a time determined by the trail conditions and the duration of the excursion. Lunch will be served at noon, usually halfway along the walk. You will recover for around an hour after lunch before starting a shorter afternoon hike, usually lasting two to three hours.
You can explore the neighborhood and eat any leftover meals when you get at your destination for the day. Your trek/climbing guide will give you an update on the plans for the next day after dinner, which will be served at approximately 7:00 PM. After that, you will have free time to unwind, read books, play games like chess, Monopoly, or cards, or talk to other hikers. Before going to bed, a lot of visitors also want to learn a few entertaining Nepali terms from our staff.
The weather, the difficulty of the route, and the climber’s pace can all affect the timetable throughout the climbing days. Your climbing sherpa will make any necessary modifications and make sure you are safe. For safety, the Sherpas will connect additional ropes in more difficult parts of the ascent.
Talking While Traveling
You can use the internet service at the tea shops and lodges along the way to stay in touch with friends and family while climbing Lobuche Peak. However, this service might come with a modest cost. Mobile phones will be used for communication at higher elevations. Through the trek leader, Everest Summit Treks And Expedition maintains daily communication with the trekking teams.
In Kathmandu, you can buy a local SIM card if you would like. Remember that depending on the service provider, mobile signal strength may be less at higher elevations.
Additional personal costs incurred during the climb or journey
The Lobuche Peak Climbing package does not cover all expenses, but it does cover the majority of them. Since there are many hotels and lodges in Kathmandu to fit most preferences and budgets, meals and lodging are not included before or after the hike or climb. We do not wish to limit your choices.
Additionally, you will need cash for a number of expenses, including filing your visa, buying travel insurance, purchasing hot (tea or coffee), cold, and alcoholic beverages, as well as for souvenirs, snacks, and tipping crew members. For personal expenses, we project that you will require between $10 and $20 USD per trekking day.
Insurance for Lobuche East Peak Climbing
Lobuche peak climbing is the most difficult trip grade, and there are concerns linked with high-altitude travel, like the possibility of altitude sickness. At high elevations, the weather can change rapidly, making trekking more challenging. As a result, Lobuche East Peak Climbing requires proper insurance.
Before starting the hike, each climber is required to present a copy of their insurance. In addition to treatment expenses, the insurance must cover helicopter rescue up to 6,000 meters. It is crucial because there are not enough medical facilities in such areas. Therefore, we may have to take you to Kathmandu in the event of a medical emergency.
Based on the experiences of our prior clients, we are able to suggest insurance if necessary. We do not, however, offer insurance in any way. After scheduling the journey, we ask that hikers submit their comprehensive insurance information. Your insurance certificate and other relevant documents will be used for rescue in an
Visa and passport Information on Visas
To enter Nepal, all foreigners—aside from Indian nationals—need to obtain a visa. At Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu or at immigration checkpoints along the Nepal-India and Nepal-Tibet borders, citizens of the majority of nations are eligible for an on-arrival visa.
- You will require the following in order to apply for a visa:
- A passport that is valid for at least six months
- Visa charges
- A picture the size of a passport
For a 30-day stay, the current visa fee is $50 USD.
Subject to certain restrictions, Chinese and SAARC (India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, and the Maldives) nationals are entitled to a free visa. Children under the age of 10 are also eligible for a free visa.
An on-arrival visa may not be available to citizens of Nigeria, Ethiopia, Iraq, Palestine, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Cameroon, Somalia, Liberia, and Afghanistan. Please seek assistance from your nearest Nepali embassy if you are from one of these nations.
The Nepali government retains the power to alter visa requirements at any time and without warning. Please visit www.immigration.gov.np, the official Nepal Immigration website, for the most recent visa information.
Exchange of Money
The Nepali Rupee (NPR) is the country’s currency, and right now, one USD is worth about 130 NPR.
In Kathmandu and Thamel, banks and authorized money exchange offices make it simple to convert foreign currency. These exchanges make their rates available to the public. Additionally, certain hotels might provide small-scale money exchange. Only INR notes in denominations of 100 and 2,000 are accepted in Nepal, therefore if you are carrying Indian Rupees, be sure you only have these.
Security is provided by traveler’s checks, although we advise bringing cash and exchanging it at money exchange offices. When it comes to currency transactions, banks impose a commission of at least 4%.
In Kathmandu, there are many ATMs that are operating around-the-clock. However, using a foreign card to withdraw up to Rs. 35,000 incurs a 500 rupee tax.
Since people only accept Nepali Rupees and there are no currency exchange facilities in trekking areas, it is best to convert your money in Kathmandu. We calculate that each trekking day will cost you between $15 and $25 USD.
For Lobuche East Peak Climbing, how much luggage is allowed?
Porters are included in the price of our package, but each person’s luggage can only weigh up to 10 kilograms. One porter will be assigned for every two hikers; however, our porters are not permitted to carry more than 20 kg of luggage. We can supply one porter per person if necessary. We suggest that you only pack the minimal necessities for the hike. During your hike, excess luggage can be stored for free at Discovery World Trekking’s storage facility or at your accommodation. During the hike briefing, we will check your luggage to make sure you have brought everything you need.
Lobuche East Peak Climbing Safety Our top priority is your safety. We promise customer happiness, safety, and security. We use the greatest equipment available and carry the required gear, equipment, and first aid kits to ensure safety. Our guides and leaders have received extensive training in first aid.
You will be escorted on your journey by a Sherpa guide who has climbed Lobuche Peak multiple times. If any team member feels ill due to the altitude, the trek leader will decide whether to descend immediately or continue the route. To ensure everyone’s safety, we will hike or climb together.
ResponsibleTravel
Our goal is to shield the environment from the damaging impacts of tourism. Both visitors and residents in tourist areas suffer from unsustainable tourism. Everest Summit Treks and Expedition organizes eco-friendly, sustainable, and rewarding treks that benefit local communities and tourists in collaboration with the Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP).
Hikers are advised to carefully manage their garbage and ensure that it is disposed of. We also take special precautions to save water and avoid pollution. We encourage consumers to bring their own reusable water bottles instead of purchasing bottled water. Our goal is to leave the campgrounds in a better condition than when we arrived.

Every two hikers are assigned a porter, and the total weight of their bags cannot exceed 20 kg. To guarantee proper support, we add an assistant guide if your party consists of four or more people.

The remaining amount can be paid with cash, a bank transfer, a credit card, or Wise when you get in Kathmandu. The price information and possible payment options will be sent to you via email.
Please provide us a copy of your passport, passport-size pictures, your travel insurance policy, and the details of your arrival and departure flights within a week of making your reservation. We advise reserving flights to Lukla in advance because they are few and in high demand during trekking seasons.
Extension of the Trip
We can set up activities that suit your interests if you would want to spend a few more days in Nepal after climbing Lobuche East Peak. A tour of the Kathmandu Valley, a journey to Nagarkot, a Chitwan jungle safari, paragliding, rafting, and canoeing are all well-liked choices.
Feedback
Everest Summit Treks and Expedition will throw a farewell dinner in Kathmandu following the Lobuche East Peak Climb. We will give you a hardcopy trek/climbing achievement certificate after dinner. After dinner, we invite you to provide feedback, as it will help us make our services better.
Helpful Information
To make sure you have enough time to get home without missing your international flight, we advise including two extra days on your itinerary. Having a cushion is crucial because domestic flights to and from Lukla frequently experience delays. Depending on demand and helicopter capacity, we can arrange helicopters for an extra $500 to $1,000 if there are delays. We can assist in setting up enjoyable activities for you if there are no delays.
Although Lobuche East Peak Climbing has set departure times from Kathmandu, we are able to work with your schedule. Tell us if the scheduled dates are not convenient for you, and we can set up a hike or climb at a time that works for you.
The schedule above is merely a broad recommendation and could be changed in response to unanticipated events like inclement weather, inaccessibility, a lack of accommodations, or laws. You cannot hold us responsible for delays or other modifications in these situations. Your guide will make any necessary changes to the schedule after consulting with the group, putting the team’s overall safety and interests first.
