3 Star HotelTrip Introduction of 22 Day Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking
Overview
One of the most popular treks in Nepal is the Dhaulagiri, which is renowned for its adventure, natural beauty, and cultural encounters. From low farmlands to parched valleys, deep woods, and snow-capped mountains, the walk traverses a variety of terrain. The trek’s distinct flavor is enhanced by the variety of wildlife and inhabitants.
Dhaulagiri Base Camp, the primary location for Dhaulagiri hiking, offers us breathtaking vistas of the mountains, including Dhaulagiri I, Dhaulagiri II, Dhaulagiri III, and Dhaulagiri V. The journey starts in Kathmandu, where you may take in the valley’s landmarks and contemporary Nepali culture. Through their kind hospitality, you are given an insight into various communities and the varied lifestyles of the locals.
The seventh highest peak in the world, Dhaulagiri, is located in the Annapurna region and rises to a height of 8167 meters. The hike is difficult since it is secluded by the Kali-Gandaki Gorge, high passes, and glaciers. The 24-day trek’s beast seasons are March, April, September, and November.
The biodiversity of Dhaulagiri trekking, which includes snow leopards, Tibetan sheep, yaks, and mountain sheep, is another reason for its fame. Rhododendrons, pines, oaks, ferns, and other flowers beautify the pathways.
The trek’s features include the variety of ethnic groups and the varied landscapes that are experienced over the course of the 24-day journey. A remarkable and thrilling journey is made possible by the world’s deepest canyon (Kali Gandaki), the pristine Myagdi valley, high passes (French pass and Thapa pass), glaciers, secret valleys, and quaint villages. You will have lifelong memories of the people you encounter along the road, as well as the expansive vistas of the peaks, verdant meadows, and lush forests.
Highlights of Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking

- The French Pass (5,360m) and Dhampus Pass (5,200m) are two significant crossings that can be crossed for adventure and breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.
- At 4,750 meters, this camp provides breathtaking close-up views of Dhaulagiri I and its enormous icefall, a remote and spectacular location that is rarely seen by ordinary hikers.
- The walk offers a wide range of geography and cultural experiences, from the arid high-altitude glaciers to the Magar and Gurung communities in the lower valleys.
- Trekking over snowfields and glaciers is required on some parts of the trail, which is an exciting challenge for seasoned hikers.

Detail information about the trip
Accommodation
In Kathmandu, you will stay in 3 star hotels. We will be lodging at lodges and teahouses throughout the tour. We sleep in a very basic tea house or tent during the walk, and our guides will choose the finest camping location with a lovely view of the Himalaya. You might not find more comfortable or higher-quality teahouses.
Meals
While breakfast is included in your hotel in Kathmandu, all meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—will be served while trekking. Sherpa stew, Tibetan bread, buckwheat, potatoes, and oats are essential foods in these mountainous areas. When the first potato seedlings were sent to the area in the early 1990s, the Sherpas began cultivating potatoes. At higher elevations, the food options are more limited and mostly consist of potato meals. Carbohydrates, which are abundant in potatoes, are a great source of energy that is required at high elevations.
Transportation
We take a private vehicle for sightseeing and for transportation from the airport to the hotel. During the walk, we are not required to take local buses or public transportation. We only offer flights from Pokhara, Jomson, and Kathmandu.
Physical well-being
Hiking for six to seven hours a day is a common part of the difficult Dhaulagiri journey. Although prior hiking or trekking experience is required, it is usually advantageous if you have participated in any type of trekking activities. The voyage has brought us together with people of different sizes, shapes, and backgrounds. The only challenging aspect is dealing with altitude sickness and its potential physical effects. It is advisable to physically prepare oneself before departing for Nepal by increasing your oxygen intake and stamina.
Travel Insurance
Our Dhaulagiri Circuit Circuit trek 22 -day trek does not include travel insurance in Nepal. You need to purchase it yourself. If you don’t know good travel insurance companies, our tour company, Everest Summit Treks and Expedition, will also help you select the right option that covers all the required risks and needs while traveling.
You are required to have travel insurance compulsorily. Your insurance will cover your extra possible expenses, such as accidents, injuries, treatment, medical expenses, emergency helicopter rescue, theft, damages, etc., that can ruin your trekking experience completely. This travel insurance will enhance your trekking experience without making you worry about potential unexpected additional expenses.
