Nagerjun is situated on a hill on the outskirts of the Chhukung valley, close above Dingboche. As we hike, we will observe that the trail gets steeper, making the walk more difficult. After around five hours of walking, we will arrive at Nagerjun, which offers sweeping views of Ama Dablam (6856m), Thamserku (6608m), Taboche Peak (6367m), Kangtega (6685m), Lobuche East (6119m), and Lobuche West (6145m). Admirable vistas of the Himalayan peaks, including Khumbutse, the Mahalangur Himal, Lingtren, and the Pumori, may be seen from the moraine. Mount Nuptse is also visible in the distance after passing over the glacier pass. Overview of the Route

When you arrive at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, your adventure begins. In order to transport you from the crowded airport to your cozy hotel, a kind individual will be waiting for you with a name plate. After a long journey, they will assist you with checking, and you can then unwind. In Kathmandu, the following day is set out for preparation, allowing you to finish your equipment and get used to the surroundings.

A thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, popularly referred to as the entrance to EBC, would be taken the next day. Your journey begins with a leisurely hike up to the picturesque settlement of Phakding after you arrive in Lukla. You will traverse major communities, over dozens of those beautiful suspension bridges, and take in the breathtaking vista of the Himalayan mountains throughout the roughly six-hour trek from Phakding. Namche Bazaar, a fantastic town surrounded by mountains, will be the day’s goal. Here, you will also hike for a day to the Everest View Hotel, which is arguably the most crucial part of the journey because it allows the body to acclimate to the high elevation. Some of the tallest mountains in the world, including Mount Everest, Nuptse, Thamserku, and Tawache, may be seen in a circle from this viewpoint.

Starting at Namche Bazaar, the trip offers an intense experience with increasingly challenging and intriguing trails that travel via Tengboche and Dingboche. Because it is crucial to allow your body to adjust to the rising elevation, the day in Dingboche will be spent resting. However, following a day of relaxation and exploration in the village of Dingboche, the trip carries on to Lobuche, the next target. You will then continue on to the journey’s highlights, the fabled Everest Base Camp, where you may experience the essence of the world’s highest peak.

After spending the day at the Everest Base Camp, you will return to Gorakshep for one more night before starting the strenuous ascent to Kala Pathar the next day. This ascent is extremely steep, but it is all worthwhile since you will probably reach the summit early in the morning to witness a breathtaking sunrise over Mount Everest, one of the most amazing vistas you will ever see in your lifetime.

After reaching Gorakshep, you will continue your journey over one of the most picturesque roads; you must traverse the treacherous Chola Pass to reach Thagna, and then continue on to Gokyo Lake, which will captivate you. The trail leads from Gokyo to the settlement of Thame via Lunden and the Renjo La Pass. Ultimately, you will return to Lukla and Namche Bazaar. Once you arrive in Lukla, you will fly to Kathmandu.

Our staff will take you up from your accommodation on the final day so you can catch your flight. With your happy memories of the magnificent Himalayan range in mind, this is the final stage of this joyful adventure.

Best Time

Good weather has a big impact on the entire journey, whether it is a city tour or a trek. We want your journey to be as enjoyable as possible so you can make the most of it.

Research indicates that spring and fall are the best seasons for the trek.

The weather stays clear and mild during the spring (March to May). The visibility will be clear, making it ideal for those hoping to get a good look at the snow-capped Alps.

As the skies clear in the fall (October to November), the monsoon season will be coming to an end. For walkers, the moderate temperature will be comfortable.

However, during the winter months of December through February, access to the Everest Base Camp with Cho La and Renjo La Pass will be unavailable. These routes will get a lot of snowfall, which will obstruct the hiking trails. Trekking is not advised during this time of year.

Is this a beginner’s trek?

The difficulty of the trek is rated as moderate to tough. Kala Patthar, a high altitude level, is where you will reach the highest point (5545m). However, if the right preparations are done, a hiker starting from scratch can participate in this walk.

To prepare for this walk, one should maintain a high degree of physical fitness. This implies that the hiker needs to incorporate aerobic exercises into their daily regimen and exercise frequently. Additionally, you should pay attention to your breathing and walking rate.

In summary, this climb is suitable for hikers of all skill levels. You do not need to fear because our guides will be with you while you navigate rocky, steep, and uphill paths.

Alternate Treks

Everyone enjoys exploring different alternatives. In light of this, we have compiled a list of several different trekking packages for you to select from in addition to the Everest Base Camp with Cho La and Renjo La Pass trek.

Gokyo Lakes with Everest Base Camp (No Cho La Pass) is the first item on the list. Additionally, the walk will lead you through the Khumbu’s routes, passing by well-known locations such as Kala Patthar, Everest Base Camp, Gokyo Lakes, and Gokyo Ri. The trek lasts 19 days and includes both a sightseeing tour and a day off in Kathmandu.

The Everest Gokyo Lake Trek comes next. The trekking package will showcase the stunning Gokyo Lakes’ splendor. It includes a sightseeing tour and a day of rest in Kathmandu and lasts for 15 days.

We would be happy to plan the trek and give you the greatest service, regardless of the trekking package you select. With years of expertise as a travel agency, we guarantee that we will provide exceptional service. Our staff consists of knowledgeable and experienced trekking leaders and guides with extensive experience in both trekking and mountain climbing. You will be able to finish the hike quickly with their assistance and bring back stories when you get back.

Altitude Sickness, Treatment, and Prevention with Acclimatization

Altitude sickness better known as AMS or Acute Mountain Sickness will be your biggest challenge during your Everest three high passes trek. Most of the hikers often when they get closer to Kongma La Pass suffer from severe headaches, vertigo, exhaustion, dizziness, and insomnia which are the first signs of the condition. As soon as these signs begin to appear, you must quickly descend to adapt and should take the whole day to rest. Doing so, you may miss the chance to see the incredible mountains but risking your life just to see the scenery is not worth doing.

It will also help if you take Diamox but notify our guide before doing so as he will take the necessary measures after evaluating your condition. To make this journey as much easier as we can, we have integrated acclimating days at Namche, Dingboche, and Gokyo Villages to prepare well for the higher passes. We have also minimized your hiking time after crossing the second pass of Cho La. The best possible way to remain fit during the journey will be staying hydrated, proceeding at a slower pace taking your time and not rushing with the climbs or the descents.

Transportation

The transportation for all arrivals and departures between TIA and your hotel will be executed in a private means such as a van, jeep, bus, or car. We will also manage the logistics regarding your flights to or from Lukla. If there is a reroute to Ramechhap, a private means will be utilized for your transfer.

Travel Insurance

You have to understand that a lot of things can happen suddenly and unexpectedly in our Everest three high passes trek such as fractures, dislocations, bruises, sprains, and other injuries to the musculoskeletal system, as well as altitude sickness which can be catastrophic without insurance. Travel insurance is important here not only because the insurance company will pay for the treatment, but first of all because of the possibility of organizing transportation to the hospital.

For this, you may have to arrange a helicopter, and it is not so easy to do it on your own, and sometimes (most often due to the cost) it is completely impossible. This also includes the possibility of organizing search and investigation activities. So make sure you have travel insurance with you which remains valid to an altitude of more than 5500 m. Also make sure it also has bonuses of simple travel insurance such as protection against delayed or extended trips, extra stays, thefts, and possible damage to our bags.
