Detail information about the trip
Accommodation
You will stay in five-star hotels while in Kathmandu. During the trip, we will stay in teahouses or lodges. Comfort and better teahouses with attached bathrooms may be found up to Namche, a busy town with more tourists and a greater range of accommodation alternatives. It should be mentioned that accommodations may be of lower quality at higher elevations, with more basic rooms that only provide the necessary.
Meals while trekking
While breakfast is included in your hotel stay in Kathmandu, all meals—breakfast, lunch, and dinner—will be served while trekking. The staple foods of the Khumbu region include buckwheat, oats, potatoes, Sherpa stew, and Tibetan bread. The Sherpas started growing potatoes in the early 1990s when the first seeds were shipped to the region. The dietary options are more restricted and primarily consist of potato meals at higher elevations.. Carbohydrates, which are abundant in potatoes, are a great source of energy that is required at high elevations.
Transportation:
we use a private vehicle for sightseeing as well as for pickup and drop-off at the hotel and airport. We are not obliged to use public transportation or local busses during the walk. We only take flights from Kathmandu to Lukla.
Physical well-being
EBC is a strenuous hike that frequently requires six to seven hours of walking each day. Although prior hiking or trekking experience is not required, it is always advantageous if you have engaged in any type of trekking activity. The voyage has brought us together with people of different sizes, shapes, and backgrounds. The only challenging aspect is dealing with altitude sickness and its potential physical effects. It is advisable to physically prepare oneself before departing for Nepal by increasing your oxygen intake and stamina.
Most people ask about the trip - FAQs

In addition to being a certified sustainable travel agency, we support the notion of giving back to the community by taking part in a number of charitable activities.
What additional Documents do i need?
- Two passport-sized (2 x 2 inch) pictures to provide to our office workers
- A copy of your ticket for your international flight to provide to our office personnel
- A copy of our office staff’s travel insurance
Can the Guide speak English?
Our guides are fluent in English, yes. Before becoming trekking guides, the majority of them begin their careers as porters and labor for 3 to 4 years. Their proficiency in English is derived from practical experience rather than formal schooling. Please be aware that although they can communicate well, their fluency may not be as high as that of native speakers because English is not their first language. Additionally, they will help with communication, particularly when many locals, such as teahouse hosts and shopkeepers, may not speak English.
What is the best season for this trek?
The Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek is most enjoyable in the spring (March to early June) and fall (mid-September to November). We can plan this excursion to fit your schedule, and it is doable all year round.
But generally speaking, we advise performing this hike during the best times of year and avoiding the monsoon season (July and August). The temperature in the mountains can be a little severe during the frigid months of January and February.
But if you are well-prepared with the right winter clothing and other equipment, some people prefer to go during these months because it is less busy.
What temperature and weather conditions might I anticipate while trekking?
The weather in the Everest region is difficult to predict because it tends to be localized. While trekking, the weather may be hot and sunny, cold, rainy, or foggy. Being prepared to deal with different weather conditions is ideal. Nighttime temperatures in the Everest region are much colder than daytime temperatures. The temperature can drop from a high of 25°C (77°F) to a low of -20°C (-4°F) in less than a day. Even while it may be difficult to forecast what each day in the mountains will bring, the weather and temperature ranges are generally predictable based on the month and season.
March, April, May, and June are spring.
The ideal time to visit the Everest region is probably in the spring, even though it is the busiest season. Everest Base Camp is the site of operations supporting the expedition teams. The sky should be clear with breathtaking views, and the different types of blossoming trees should be visible. With a high of 25°C (77°F) on clear days and a low of -15°C (5°F) overnight above 4000 meters, the average springtime temperature is 20°C (68°F).
July/August through mid-September is monsoon season.
This is not precisely the best time of year to visit the Everest region because it rains a lot at elevations lower than 3500 meters. Even though it can occasionally be dry at places higher than 4,000 meters, it rains a lot, therefore not many people travel during this time of year. There are several benefits to trekking during the monsoon season, including the best chance to avoid crowds and a higher chance of witnessing waterfalls. The average temperature throughout the monsoon season is 22°C (71.6°F), with clear days reaching highs of 30°C (86°F) and nightly lows of -5°C (23°F) above 4000 meters.
Autumn End : September, October, and November
Autumn is just as busy in the Everest region as spring. It is also among the greatest times to visit. The sky is frequently clear, providing stunning views from practically every angle, even when the trees and flora are not in blossom. With a high of 20°C (68°F) on clear days and a low of -15°C (5°F) overnight above 4000 meters, the average autumn temperature is 17°C (62.6°F).
Winter: January, February, and December
Some people like traveling in the winter since there are less tourists. It can be gloomy, even if the views are still stunning, therefore it is best to add extra days during this period. With a high of 17°C (62.6°F) on clear days and a low of -20°C (-4°F) overnight above 4000 meters, the average temperature is 10°C (50°F). Extra blankets are provided by the teahouses to keep people warm at night.
Is it feasible to get a Nepal visa at the airport when you arrive?
Yes, you may get a Nepal visa at the airport when you get there. You fill out the required paperwork at kiosks in the arrival hall. For a 15-day tourist visa with multiple entries, the price is USD 30; for a 30-day or 90-day tourist visa with multiple entries, the price is USD 50 and USD 125, respectively. Since digital payments are frequently unavailable, you should bring cash (USD) with you to pay your visa fees swiftly and conveniently.
We advise completing the online visa application form ahead of time to save time. The airport process will go more quickly if you apply online two weeks prior to your arrival. Please visit our blog post, Guidelines for Online Tourist Visa Form in Nepal, for comprehensive instructions.
When I get at the airport, who will come get me?
Outside the airport terminal, our crew will be waiting for you with our sign that reads “Everest Summit Treks and Expedition.” A private tourist van will drive you to a hotel.
How much extra cash do I require each day?
Usually, $15 to $20 per person per day will be adequate. This is to pay for lunch or supper expenditures in Kathmandu and to buy refreshments. It is best to have additional money on hand if you want to purchase souvenirs or locally produced Nepali goods.
Can I use a credit card at the locations I visit on the trek?
In the mountainous area, Nepalese Rupees cash is preferred over credit cards for trekking. It is best to convert your money into Nepali Rupees in Kathmandu before to the start of the journey. You can do this in your hotel, at the bank, or at the airport. Please be aware that the hotels will only exchange up to $100 USD each transaction. Up to Namche Bazaar, there are ATMs, however they are not always dependable. In Kathmandu, the exchange rate is more favorable.
How are the ATM and money exchange facilities in Kathmandu?
In Thamel, where you would be living in Kathmandu, there are ATMs and money exchange offices practically every few meters. Therefore, you can quickly use your cards to cash out a certain amount of money, from which the ATM facility itself deducts a minimal charge. For a precise rate, you can quickly swap your foreign currencies at currency exchange centers.
How challenging is the Trek?
The elevation and length of the VVIP Everest Base Camp Trek make it a little difficult. Walking five to seven hours a day is part of the somewhat taxing process.
However, we will take a private helicopter flight into Everest Base Camp following our acclimatization climb to Nangkartshang Peak (5,085 m/16,676 ft) at Dingboche. For additional information, see our blog post: How challenging is the EBC Trek?
can i shower during the trek?
yes, there are hot showers accessible all the way from Lukla to Namche Bazaar. Showers may also be available in some places at higher elevations.
Showering above the settlement of Dingboche is not advised, nevertheless, in order to prevent illness. Using moist cloths to wipe your body is somewhat better.
What is the connection between altitued and acclimatization?
During the EBC trek, altitude sickness is a possible. There is less oxygen available in the air at higher heights. Acclimatization days and gradual ascents are advised at higher elevations to prevent altitude sickness. Our knowledgeable guides will help you identify and avoid altitude sickness during the hike.
Do i need to top my Guide & Porter? How much that would be?
Tipping shows how happy you are and how much you enjoyed the hike. It is both expected and appreciated. Depending on the size of your trekking party and the length of the trek, we advise tipping. Generally speaking, gratuities should account for at least 10% of the overall cost of your excursion. Our pre-trip briefing in Kathmandu will include specific tipping guidelines for your guides and porters.
What is the helicopter's maximum weight?
With a captain on board and a weight limit of 80 kg for five passengers and 15 kg for each piece of luggage, the helicopter can carry 475 to 575 kg during a single flight.
How accessible is the internet in the Everest Region?
Internet access is available in the Everest region through the Airlink and Everest Link networks. The travel package includes the cost of Wi-Fi at guesthouses along the route.
I am vegetarian. Is the a problem?
Vegetarian meals are served at the majority of mountain teahouses. Therefore, vegetarianism is not an issue. It is better to eat vegetarian food to prevent indigestion and food poisoning.
What sort of insurance do i need? how ca i obtain a policy?
Our hiking itineraries require travel insurance. For the maximum elevation of your journey, we demand that your policy have medical evacuation coverage. In the event of a flight delay or cancellation due to inclement weather, medical expenses, theft, loss, or damage to your belongings while traveling, insurance may also cover additional charges.
One of the many travel insurance businesses offers online travel insurance. Please be aware that medical evacuation coverage may not be covered by insurance you purchased from an airline when you booked your ticket.
Do i need prior trekking experience?
If you are physically fit and have a strong enough desire for the trek, you do not need any prior trekking experience.
